a journey towards success

LIZ LI // UX UI designer

I have many passions, but the single verb it all boils down to is ‘create.’ Ever since I was young, when my imagination started to run wild, I would start thinking about how to make what was in my head come to life. Sometimes I would succeed, sometimes I would fail. But even if I failed, if I believed in it, I would keep trying again until I was satisfied. If it strikes your fancy, keep scrolling to learn more about me and visually explore a few of the many things I’ve made in my short existence.

modacity

This user experience project was one I worked on for a startup called Modacity, a mobile app for practicing music. This feature is called the Metrodrone. The Metrodrone is more than just a regular metronome, it also allows you to choose the pitch for the metronome click. Scroll through the carousel to see how the Metrodrone went from wire to final product.

Want to know more about the whole app? Visit Modacity’s website here.

webenertia

During my time at WebEnertia, I worked on the UX narrative for multiple data management B2B tech clients like Cohesity and Aternity.

I engineered both the structure and visual design of the ROI calculator on Aternity’s corporate website from end to end, which in turn has assisted Aternity in website engagement and quality leads.

I also helped pioneer the storytelling behind all of the key value pages (Product, Solutions, Homepage, etc) for Cohesity’s 2020 website redesign.

Goodjob

GoodBot

At Goodjob, we saw the potential of ChatGPT to revolutionize the hiring process. I was instrumental in pioneering GoodBot, a ChatGPT-powered AI bot designed to streamline candidate evaluation. GoodBot was projected to analyze and compare candidate data across various roles, performing calculations and generating insights to empower informed hiring decisions.

PATH Assessment

While working for the HR tech startup Goodjob, I focused on optimizing the hiring process through design. Their core offering was a data-driven hiring tool called the PATH assessment. This innovative psychometric tool leveraged behavioral science to precisely match candidates with roles that best suited their strengths.

I spearheaded the UX design for the PATH assessment results page and the assessment experience itself, crafting the user journey from initial wireframes to the final, high-fidelity mockups across various devices, including mobile and desktop.

Rock Enrollment

Benefits Admin Dashboard

At Rock Enrollment, a benefits administration platform, I helped develop a solution that prioritizes the power of human connection to cultivate a positive organizational culture. My focus was designing the client admin dashboard, a critical tool for benefit administrators.

This high-level interface provides comprehensive oversight, allowing admins to effectively manage company insurance plans, employee benefit participation, and internal tasks. The mockups (desktop and mobile) showcase my design for optimal functionality across various devices.

Website Redesign

During my time at Rock Enrollment, I also led a comprehensive redesign of the corporate website. We started with detailed wireframes for all key pages, creating a clear blueprint. Using a modular approach, we built the site incrementally with reusable templates and updated content as needed. Then, we moved to visually redesigning the website, integrating the brand identity and ensuring consistency across all pages.

modacity

This infographic I designed was based off of user research I did for Modacity. For this project, I joined various music groups on Facebook and inquired about their musical pain points. This research was conducted so that our app could better solve the problems within our niche. To view the full infographic, click here.

webenertia

While working as a UX designer at Webenertia, I helped produce their annual 2020 Fortune 500 Report, which was essentially a thorough design, branding, and marketing analysis of 26 homepages belonging to the largest B2B tech companies of 2020. Click here to download the full report for free.

Goodjob

At Goodjob, my design contributions extended beyond product interfaces. I also designed engaging social media graphics and animations for landing pages and loading screens, like the ones shown on the right. This helped to create a more cohesive user experience across all touchpoints.

Rock enrollment

At Rock Enrollment, I played a leading role in the design and development of their corporate website. This encompassed crafting the website’s architecture through wireframing, designing the user interface, and creating all necessary visual assets, such as the graphics showcased here. This in-house project ensured complete creative control and a cohesive digital experience.
